Description
The Rung Rack is a painting tool holder designed by a professional painter for professional painters, for ladder safety and efficiency. Insert the plastic end into the D-rung hole in the side rail of the extension ladder, attach the safety strap around the rail, and begin. It works as a cantilever and holds the tools a painter needs for the job.
It does two jobs. A bucket stabilizing system lets you work from the bucket without the bail in the way or the bucket flopping around: hang the bail over the rubber handle and the stabilizer bars hold it steady. And an angled paint roller frame holder parks your roller frame and extension pole while you spray, with the spray gun hanging on the center bar.
Spray gun, bucket, caulking gun, masker and roller, all set on the rack, and more time holding on to the ladder.

Technical
Drawn up to the patent.
An original invention, issued U.S. Patent 9,739,091 in 2017: “Painting tool holder for all types of extension ladders.” The patent lapsed in 2021.

Painting tool holder
Rod and sleeve (102, 203, 204), U-shaped bucket holder (201), stabilizer bars (202) and the roller frame holder (206), as one integrated unit.

Angled, so it stays put
The U-shaped holder mounts to the rod through its opening (208) at an angle, about 12° in one embodiment, so the frame can’t slide out.
